Recurrent abortion
Etiology
- Luteal phase insufficiency (insufficient progesterone)
- Diabetes mellitus
- Hypothyroidism
- Congenital anatomic lesion, eg, septate uterus
- Acquired anatomic lesion, eg, incompetent cervix, intrauterine adhesions, submucous uterine leiomyoma (fibroid)
- Polycystic ovary syndrome
- Antiphospholipid antibody syndrome or other hypercoagulable state
- Balanced chromosomal translocation
