Cranial nerve 3 palsy
Etiology
- Microvascular infarction, e.g., diabetes mellitus, hypertension
- Sarcoidosis
- Space-occupying lesion, especially posterior inferior cerebellar artery (PICA) aneurysm
- Ophthalmoplegic migraine
- Brainstem infarct or vertebrobasilar insufficiency
- Temporal (giant cell) arteritis
- Uncal herniation
