Chronic hepatitis
Etiology
- Viral: hepatitis B, C, D (in presence of B)
- Alcoholic cirrhosis
- Genetic & metabolic: hemochromatosis, Wilson’s disease, alpha-1-antiprotease deficiency
- Autoimmune hepatitis
- Chronic hepatitis due to drugs, eg, nitrofurantoin, methyldopa, isoniazid (INH)
