Etiology
- Malignancy
- Hemopericardium, eg, aortic dissection, iatrogenic cardiac perforation
- Uremia
- Less common: infection (viral, bacterial, tuberculous), radiation, myxedema, Dressler’s syndrome, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)
