DDx
- Noninfectious: drug fever, postoperative atelectasis or tissue necrosis, hematoma, pancreatitis, pulmonary embolus, myocardial infarction, ischemic colitis
- Urinary tract infection (UTI)
- Pneumonia
- Bacteremia, eg, indwelling catheter, wound, abscess, pneumonia, genitourinary (GU) or gastrointestinal (GI) tract
- Wound infection, eg, decubitus ulcer
- C. difficile colitis
