- Poorly differentiated: lymphoma, germ cell tumor, melanoma, neuroendocrine, prostate
- Adenocarcinoma: breast, prostate, pancreatic, hepatobiliary, lung, colon, ovarian
- Squamous cell (depending on location of adenopathy): head and neck, genital, anorectal, cervical, lung
- Others: melanoma, sarcoma, thyroid
