- Emboli, e.g., atrial fibrillation
- Thrombosis of mesenteric vessel
- Low flow due to CHF or arterial spasm (e.g., ergotamine or cocaine)
- Mesenteric vein occlusion
- Postcoarctectomy syndrome (mesenteric vasoconstriction after coarctation repair)
